B.S. Computer Science from University of Buffalo (1997–2001). Minor in Mathematics. Graduated with honors. 4-year recipient of UB Distinguished Honors Scholarship.

Current PhD study at UNC-Chapel Hill dept of Computer Science (2001-present). Formally proposing dissertion in Spring 2006.

RA with UNC‘s Effective Virtual Environments (EVE) research group (3 years and counting). Under direction of PIs Mary Whitton and Fred Brooks.

Collaborated with NRL, ?, and ? on VirTE Project (Virtual Training Environments), developing performance metrics from motion-tracking data in virtual environments. On-going research grant to develop automatic evaluation of team performance in miltarty training simulations.

Wrote client and server code for numerous VR peripheral devices via the VRPN library (Virtual Reality Peripheral Network [http://cs.unc.edu/Research/vrpn]). Also contributed to core development of the VRPN networking layer.

I ran UNC-CS’s GraphicsLunch, a weekly meeting with speakers and discussion on a variety of computer-graphics-related topics. I arranged for guest speakers and visiting researchers to give talks. I organized student- and faculty-led discussions. I managed web resources, designed flyers, and posted announcements in a variety of physical and digital media. (Typical g-lunch audience size is 12–40 people.)
