Eric Gavaletz
This is a class project for comp 790-088 Fall 2009.
We appreciate you assistance in mapping the internet. More specifically what you will be helping in is mapping the available bandwidth
on the internet. Without getting to technical, it is how much more stuff can be moved across the internet.
Thank you!
We want to thank all of the users that have helped with the beta testing of our
product. The results were amazing. We now know what we did right and where we need to
improve. The clients will continue to run for a bit and then they will "expire" and shut
down on their own. We would like to test this final aspect of the client software so we
hope that enough of you will still have the code running on Monday morning for us to see that
it will work for the wider population.
Once the client shuts down, you can safely place the entire folder in the trash/recycling bin.
There were no extra files installed to your computer (everything is in the folder). Once we make updates
and modifications to the code we will begin a second round of testing. We hope that you will
consider allowing the client software to run in the background of your machine when the new
client software is finished.
As researchers and developers were are highly interested in any feedback that you might have
for us. Please email

or
hasan AT cs DOT unc DOT edu
We are particularly interested in knowing if you noticed it running in the background of your computer
or if you experienced any problems while installing it.
Again we can't thank you enough!
Please check out the plots and praohs sections of the site to the right. The map that we created in less than
24 hours already has a lot of useful data!
