I would love to have a copy of Hark the Sound. I just attended the PEPSA conference in Clearwater and had the privilege of listening to and meeting Dr. Erickson. She talked about this product and it sounds like it would be great for my students. My colleague and I were also presenters at the conference. We are teachers in Hernando County, Florida and work with students with significant disabilities. We also teach 150 general education students that are in our Exploratory Teaching course and peer supports for our students with disabilities. We have a couple of students who are visually impaired and your program sounds like it would be great for them. I would like to install it on their laptops when they come back to school on 8/24. Found your blog while looking for info on using WordPress as a CMS (of all things). I downloaded “Hark the Sound” and love the concept! We’re launching our audio description awareness campaign (Listening IS Learning) website soon (hence the search for WP CMS information), and “Hark” would fit right in!

Your program sound very good and I would like to try it with several students that I have that are blind and visually impaired. I cannot download this because of restrictions the school system places on downloads and sites we visit. I would be glad to pay for handling–let me know how much. Thanks.

Is their some way you can install Hark The Sound from the computer onto the PacMate? because Jim Denham says it dose not work on it.

Well, I’ve heard people talking about Hark the Sound, so decided to try it out. I’m using a Vista machine, and can’t get the program to run. After installation, I try to launch it, but get a message that says look at the log file (errors). What might I be doing wrong? I checked to make sure I was downloading the version noted to work with Vista, but no luck.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for making the Hark the Sound Game. I have been trying to find the connector for the dance mat to the USB connection but cannot find one anywhere. I have called about 6 places. Is it just too outdated?

I tried the xbox dance mat, which already has a USB port but that didn’t seem to work either.

I am disappointed because I was really looking forward to trying the DDR games.

I don’t suppose you have any suggestions. . .
