Research Overview

I am currently working as CTO of Altometrics, Inc. to translate my dissertation research into a data analytics platform.

While at UNC (from 2004-2009), I worked with my advisors Kevin Jeffay and Don Smith to create a new way of measuring and analyzing the performance of servers in UNC's network by passively observing their network traffic.

I spent the summer of 2007 working on the same research at CAIDA with Colleen Shannon and David Moore. In the summer of 2006, I worked with Vern Paxson and Mark Allman at ICIR—work which resulted in a paper at IMC 2007 titled A Brief History of Scanning.
