I am back to being a graduate student at UNC-Chapel Hill, after spending a great year with the Performance Team at VMware. My research interests are primarily in Network Systems and Virtualization.

I work with Dr Kevin Jeffay on lightweight virtualization techniques for network infrastructure. My primary interest lies in leveraging the "second-look" and isolation properties that vmm provide and using them to build more secure systems. My research page has more details on some of my current projects.
In the past I have worked on the Realistic Traffic Generator (TMIX)

Currently I am running the reading groups on Virtualization (VSys) and Networking (NetLunch). The two groups meet alternate weeks Friday 11:00 AM. If you are interested in any of the two topics email me at krishnan at cs.unc.edu
