Quake Competition

UPDATE:  We need to accelerate the schedule for the tournament.  The goal is to complete all play by Spring Break.  See updated information below.

The game that we will be playing is Quake III (PC version). 

All games will be played between 6 and 8 on weekday evenings in the glab (2nd floor Sitterson).   There will be 2 games per evening, one beginning at 6 and one at 7.  Weekend scheduling may be possible; contact Chris V.

Tournament Rules
The tournament will run throughout the semester.
The first is a full round robin.  This is 5 games per team.  You have until March 2 to play the matches.  Scheduling is the responsibility of the two teams.  We will probably not get all games played.  I will use some clever algorithm to decide the leading teams.
Note:  I recognize that this may be more hours than some teams or individuals can manage.  This is an opportunity to bond and will not effect your grade.  I do recommend that you schedule one or two games as early as possible to get to know your teammates.  Teams may decline competitions, which will be considered a loss for the declining team.

This web site will maintain the schedule and results.
There will be a championsip game the week of March 5.  There will be prizes awarded at the final but do not expect anything really significant!
