About Myself

I was born in Brookfield, Wisconsin (near Milwaukee) in 1982. Soon after, my parents packed up my sister and I and moved us to Naples, Florida where I lived for around 15 years. I next moved to Newton, North Carolina between my sophomore and junior years of high school. While the school in Newton wasn't exactly top notch, it helped me secure a spot at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

As an undergraduate I participated in the marching and basketball bands each semester, competed in the Regional ACM Collegiate Programming Competition, repaired satellite images for NASA, and met a great girl who's now my wife. I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science in the spring of 2004 and was admitted back into UNC-Chapel Hill for my Master's work. There is a large time commitment required but the work I do for the program and the people I've met make it more than worth it.

My wife, Christy, currently works as a cook at Carolina Crossroads (the restaurant at the Carolina Inn). We were married August 21, 2005 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chapel Hill and everyone had a great time. We're not quite sure of our plans after I graduate; maybe move to Europe for awhile, maybe stay here. Wherever we end up is not important, we'd be happy enough with just each other.
