Brief Bio
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Computer Science at the
University of North
Carolina - Chapel Hill under the advisory of Prof. Dinesh Manocha. I received
a B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian
Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2000 and Masters and PhD in Computer Science
from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003 and 2006. My
research interests include geometric and solid modeling,
effective utilization of commodity
graphics hardware to solve geometric problems,
collision detection and proximity queries and interactive
rendering of large models. My doctoral thesis presented efficient and
practical techniques to compute approximate Voronoi diagrams and
simplified medial axes of polyhedral models with topological
guarantees.
